GPM

GPM (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e. V.) is the leading competence network for project management in Germany. As a non-profit professional association with over 6,500 members, GPM has been committed to the professionalization and advancement of project management in business, public administration, and society for over 40 years. Its core focus lies on education, certification, and the exchange of future-proof methods – with the goal of empowering people to successfully manage projects and drive effective change. One of GPM’s key events is the PM Forum, the leading professional congress for project management in the German-speaking world. In 2025, however, the PM Forum will take a break – because the 34th IPMA World Congress in Berlin will offer a full-scale, world-class alternative.

The International Project Management Association (IPMA) is a global umbrella organization for project management, with member associations in over 70 countries. As a worldwide network, IPMA promotes knowledge exchange, develops international standards, and offers a globally recognized certification system for project managers. IPMA combines local expertise with a global perspective, bringing together people from all industries and continents to shape the future of project management collaboratively.

34th IPMA World Congress

In 2025, the 34th IPMA World Congress brings the international project management community to Berlin – a city known for transformation, dynamism, and creative solutions. Over the course of three days, experts from around the world will explore the future of project management – through keynotes, technical presentations, practical case studies, real-world examples, and academic contributions. The congress offers not only top-level professional exchange but also inspiration, networking opportunities, and fresh perspectives on tomorrow’s challenges. In 2025, GPM will host the IPMA World Congress – contributing its extensive experience in organizing large-scale events, with around 10,000 participants annually in both in-person and digital formats.

This anniversary is an occasion to celebrate achievements – and at the same time to set new impulses. The 34th IPMA World Congress in Berlin provides the ideal platform to look back together, share experiences, and move forward with renewed momentum: Let’s celebrate 60 years of IPMA!
