The project management community came together in the German capital

Over 60 speakers from research, business, and project practice provided valuable insights into current challenges such as digitalization, PMO, and innovation. In more than 50 presentations, participants gained not only diverse perspectives but also concrete tools, methods, and best practices for direct application. Topics such as digital transformation, sustainability, and artificial intelligence highlighted the trends that will shape the project work of tomorrow. At the same time, the congress offered an opportunity to reflect on your role as a project manager and to engage with up to 1,000 participants from over 70 countries, fostering new perspectives and connections.

This is where innovations are conceived

Berlin is proud to have hosted this internationally renowned professional congress. The city stands – like few others – for change, diversity, and forward-thinking. Here, innovations are conceived, new paths are explored, and major transformations are made visible. This is precisely the essence of projects: they create something new. And they require structure, competence, and reliability to succeed.

Project management is indispensable in the public sector – whether it’s building new schools and residential areas, implementing digital administrative services, or rolling out climate-friendly mobility solutions. For us, the IPMA World Congress was therefore a true highlight. It brought together people who take responsibility, want to shape the future, and work with passion to develop solutions for our time.

Highlight: Fireside Chats

The Fireside Chats at the IPMA World Congress offered a particularly personal and inspiring talk format, putting direct exchange at the center. Instead of traditional presentations, these sessions focused on open conversations in a relaxed atmosphere – authentic, approachable, and interactive. For example, Kenza Ait Si Abbou provided fascinating insights into the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence, while Shantu Bhattacharjee posed the question of whether traditional project management has reached its peak. The Fireside Chats created space for new perspectives – and for genuine connections.
