Prof. Dr. Alena Buyx is one of Germany’s leading ethics experts. She is Professor of Ethics in Medicine and Health Technologies at the Technical University of Munich, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bertelsmann Stiftung since September 1, 2024, and served as Chair of the German Ethics Council from 2020 to 2024. She regularly advises policymakers, scientists, and business leaders, particularly on ethical questions concerning AI, biotechnology, and digital innovations.
With her unique combination of academic depth, political experience, and societal foresight, Prof. Buyx will not only provide valuable insights on the ethical handling of innovations but also, through her extensive networks, bring additional visibility to our event.
