With the project management home port, the PMO of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) has established a new culture of exchange at eye level with engineers in construction project management. This forms the basis for the development of practical standards and processes with a high level of acceptance. The presentation shows how the PMO not only relieves processes, but also strengthens project teams and increases quality.
There is no need for standards and processes that are far removed from practice! In this presentation, you will learn how reservations about standards and processes can be overcome through lively dialog. Julian Michaelsen and Amira Schmidt use concrete examples to show how a PMO contributes to project success with a culture of discussion, training, practical tools and a clear attitude, and which factors are decisive. They provide practical insights into knowledge management, information on training and strategic measures for the sustainable qualification of HPA project teams.
